Oversight Committee

The Oversight Committee of Interest Rate Benchmarks performs the oversight function in accordance with the requirements specified in Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2016 on indices used as benchmarks in financial instruments and financial contracts or to measure the performance of investment funds, for the purpose of conceptual supervision over all aspects related to provision of the interest rate benchmarks.

The Oversight Committee was appointed in the documentation of WIBID and WIBOR Reference Rates, which came into force starting from February 1st, 2018.

The Members of the Committee are experts with extensive knowledge of the functioning of the financial market and interest rate benchmarks, as well as relevant professional experience in working for the banking sector, interest-rate benchmarks users and consumers of financial market services.
