The Oversight Committee of Capital Market Benchmarks is the oversight function established  in accordance with the requirement of art 5 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/1011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2016 on indices used as benchmarks in financial instruments and financial contracts or to measure the performance of investment funds (BMR), for the purpose of effective supervision over all aspects of provision of equity and fixed-income indices, including the WIG Indices and Treasury Bond Indices.

The Oversight Committee was established on December 1st, 2019. The operating mode of the oversight function is described in the Terms of Reference of the Oversight Committee of Capital Market Benchmarks.
