- GPW Benchmark launched new dividend index - WIGdivplus
- Index includes companies paying dividends with a dividend yield exceeding 2%
GPW Benchmark launched new WIGdivplus dividend index. The new index will be another dividend index in the GPW Indices family, after WIGdiv. Unlike the currently calculated WIGdiv index, where participants could be companies that have paid dividends for the last 5 years, WIGdivplus includes companies that, over the last 3 years or 4 of the last 5 financial years, have paid dividends with a dividend yield exceeding 2% in the current year.
Packages of shares of companies included in the WIGdivplus Index portfolio after the annual revision are determined as the free float shares additionally adjusted by the dividend yield.
Detailed method of provision WIGdivplus index is available in the Rules.
The base date of the index is December 30, 2014, and its base value on that day was set at 1,000 points. On January 31, 2025 the index value was 1,766.79 points.
The index is published continuously every 60 seconds between 09:00 and 17:15.
Currently, the WIGdivplus index portfolio includes 52 companies.
