Amendments to the Rules of the GPW Indices Family with regard to the WIG-ESG Index (Best Practice Ranking)
GPW Benchmark informs that from August 1st 2021, the new points 8.3.10 and 8.3.11 of the Rules of the GPW Indices Family will apply. The amended points of the Regulations relate to creating the Best Practice Ranking for the WIG-ESG Index. The administrator presents the consolidated text effective from August 1st.
Amendments adjust the WIG-ESG Index to the changes in the corporate governance rules and the rules of conduct for companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The new rules published in the "Best Practice for GPW Listed Companies 2021" are effective from July 1, 2021. As part of the method of developing the Index, described in detail in point 8 of the Regulations, the assessment of the application of Best Practice is the basis for the creation of the Best Practice Ranking, used to determine the companies' share in the Index portfolio.
The Administrator does not consider the introduced amendment to the Regulations as a "substantial change" within the meaning of Art. 28 sec. 2 of the Benchmark Regulation (BMR).
